Prospercare is in the business of recruiting medical workers for open jobs. They offer a service that aims to match candidates with medical facilities, hospitals, and home care agencies. To bolster their internal processes, the company is focused on creating a platform that empowers its internal stakeholders and clients through workflow management and communicating candidate strengths.
Prospercare is building a recruiting service backed by its own Talent Management System. The company's goal is to create a platform where stakeholders can annotate resumes, schedule and execute interviews, then decide on a best-fit candidate. The goal for this project was to advance the existing technology by:
- Restructuring navigation & rethinking the system's information architecture
- Redesigning cards that represent job seeking candidates
- Creating an interface for interviews and feedback

An interesting concept that came out of our whiteboard excercises was the need to create a module that represented open jobs while giving the viewer enough information to act on the open job appropriately. We landed on a collapsable, or accordion style, shape that would detail pertinent information about the job and the candidates interested in the particular role. [There's definitely a better sketch in my camera roll, I'll update this when I find it.]
According to Glassdoor’s HR statistics, it takes 250 resumes for a company to consider five candidates for one open position. Out of the five, it’s common that only one will receive and accept a job offer.
I continued my discovery by documenting the actors and use cases involved within this system. This screenshot below highlights the features that exist as well as use cases that would need to exist within the system.

Having this document brought ease to mapping user-flows for each actor we would design for. In this case, I outlined how Candidates, Interviewers, and Job Fair Hosts would interact. This would also give context to stakeholders about timelines for to take key actions and avoid edge cases.

I prioritized creating a clear way to navigate to exceptional candidates. To achieve this, I led the creation of an expandable job module that holds the details of an open job. Once expanded, the module displays the how each candidate performed on their scorecard.

After quite a few rounds of feedback from stakeholders including development, project managers, and investors, we decided on a candidate scorecard that would highlight the likeliness of a good fit within an organization. I've included some highlights below:

I designed a UI where interviewers and hiring managers can track an applicants progression during their journey to earning an offer. This typically begins with a questionnaire and ends with an offer. For more, I've included a snapshot of this UI
here.
